Springfield Park will be one of the largest new parks in London since the opening of the Queen Elizabeth park following the 2012 London Olympics. The 13ha site is one of the largest parkland areas in London to become accessible to the public. Ensuring a well-designed, high quality and accessible parkland environment for locals and Londoners to enjoy throughout the year has been paramount to the design process. The opportunity exists to deliver a great new park for Wandsworth and London.  Pringfield park will be open to all and not for the exclusive use of either local residents or any club or sector of society. Springfield Park will be a destination available to the community twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week and three hundred and sixty-five days a year. The opportunity extends beyond Springfield park to create a new network of publicly accessible routes and spaces which connect both new and existing communities to the parkland. The opportunity exists to create a landscape which reinforces the growth and development of the new community, providing spaces, including a new public square, which support the needs and aspirations of not only those who will live here but also healthcare workers, and those service users who benefit from the service that they provide
