Matthew has dedicated more than 15 years professionally to the craft of Urban Design & Landscape Architecture. His passion for design has propelled him to complete a Master’s degree in Urban Design & Landscape Architecure from the prestigious University of Pennsylvania. Matthew’s breadth of experience spans typical Architectural practice, approaching metropolitan projects as architectural extensions of the city through contemporary Urban Design thinking.
Andrew is the founder and Director of Frantz Slater Design Collective office based in Sapporo, Japan. As qualified Designer with over 15 years of experience in Strategic Planning, Master Planning, Urban Design, and Landscape Architecture; Andrew has designed and managed large complex projects throughout South-east Asia and the Middle East. Andrew is responsible for guiding multi-disciplinary teams through the design process; from concept level through to detail documentation. His experience spans residential, commercial, retail, leisure and hospitality design. With a diverse interest in technology, art and science he enjoys working on highly collaborative and complex projects, discovering connections between seemingly disparate fields and utilizing technology to manage distributed teams. Fluent in Japanese and well versed in the construction and development regulations in Japan, Andrew specializes in working with international clients in Japan.
Rick is a British Artist, Chartered Landscape Architect, Urbanist and Masterplanner. He made his UK debut in 1980 while working on the celebrated Sutton Place project in Surrey, under the auspices of the renowned Architect, Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe. The estate once owned by Paul Getty is now the property of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov. Rick went on to co-found his studio in 1983. Over the next three decades, Rick established the studio as a pioneer of ‘green urbanism’ with particular emphasis on the fusion of art, architecture and ecology. Rick brings a creative perspective from a diverse background in design and art with a pragmatic approach honed through decades of delivering projects.
